NUTELLA CUPCAKES
INGREDIENTS:
CUPCAKE INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder (or any unsweetened cocoa powder)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup coffee, lukewarm (you can use decaf coffee if desired!)
- 1 (13-ounce) jar Nutella, to fill the cupcakes (you may or may not use the whole jar)
- Nutella frosting
- coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
NUTELLA FROSTING INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup Nutella
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- pinch of kosher salt
- 2-3 Tbsp. milk (or heavy cream)
